Most people have seen the letter below sent to all Hokie Club members, and I hope you plan to attend. Help is get the word out to non-members and Hokie friends about Frank's invitation. Tech needs support from all parties to wint the 757 recruiting battles and fill the empty trophy case.
Hello, Fellow Hokies:
How many times have you heard me say, “we’re all in this together”? Well, I
really feel that way The remarkable program we have built here at Tech and the
future we are building together are part and parcel of our mutual agreement to
support one another. The players, the coaches, the administration, the students,
the support groups and the fans are each integral parts of what we have
accomplished. This whole thing won’t work without each and every partner.
I am writing you now because I need your help again. On April 24th , I’m coming
to your area. The Tidewater Hokie Club is sponsoring a dinner that night to
raise money for the Tidewater scholarship fund, and I plan to attend. Each
dollar raised becomes part of the money to fund a scholarship for a local
student athlete to attend Virginia Tech. You have heard me say over and over
again how important the Tidewater area is to our recruiting efforts. Now I need
you to do your part.
Pleas come out and have dinner that night with me, our women’s basketball coach,
and a bunch of other good Hokies. I’ll talk about the football program,
recruiting and the upcoming season. And you’ll have an opportunity to ask
questions and win some great prizes. You can purchase tickets by calling Ed
Collins at (757) 436-4644. Or purchase online at twhokie@exis.net.
Thank you,
Coach Frank Beamer
